Overview
Jessica Hoffman is an attorney at Jimerson Birr. She practices in the Banking and Financial Services industry focusing on consumer and commercial litigation.
Ms. Hoffman manages high-volume collection cases from inception through judgment while monitoring federal and state regulatory schemes to effectively advise her clients. Prior to joining Jimerson Birr, Ms. Hoffman founded her own law practice where she proudly helped hundreds of families across the world grow through Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). She also has a diverse background in corporate healthcare, marketing and training from her prior work experience at General Electric and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida.
Ms. Hoffman graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law where she worked in the law clinic and as a ghostwriter for the Financial News and Daily Record. As a student member of the American Bar Association, she assisted with the reformation and state adoption of the ART Model Act. Ms. Hoffman was awarded first place by the American Bar Association’s Howard C. Schwab Memorial Essay contest. Her paper, “You Say Adoption, I Say Objection: Why the Word War Over Embryo Disposition is More Than Just Semantics” was published in the Family Law Quarterly. Ms. Hoffman formerly served on the executive council of the ABA’s ART Committee, where she worked on drafting legislation and Continuing Legal Education planning.
Ms. Hoffman’s unique career experience makes it possible for her to give-back to a community she’s passionate about supporting while also becoming well-versed in litigation and trial preparation. She still speaks on issues concerning cancer and infertility in both a personal and professional capacity. Ms. Hoffman lives in Jacksonville with her husband, daughter and their dapper tuxedo cat. She’s a golf-mom and spends her spare time supporting young female players on the course and through sponsorships with local businesses. She likes spending time outside by the water, practices Pilates daily, and is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers.
